The last four days have included 7 meetings, 1 long to-do list, 15 documents, 30 emails, and counting. All part of the administrative path that leads to Ireland. One would think that moving internationally is all adventures, but really it’s a lot of mind-numbing details and tasks. Things like researching visa requirements, procuring housing, researching car prices, filling out paperwork, writing job descriptions, notarizing documents, and finding international life insurance policies.
This may seem dry, but as each item gets checked off the list, our interest and excitement levels grow. We’re ready to be there. Ready to settle in. Ready for the flight. Ready for the journey to start. Just, ready.
It’s all part of the roller coaster, from dread to excitement, from fear to courage.
